Tree Plantation Drive by Sun Nepal Life in Doti
Kathmandu — Marking International Forest Day, Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited carried out a tree plantation program in Dadimada village of Adarsha Rural Municipality–7 in Doti, in partnership with the Lumbini World Peace Forum.
The initiative is part of the company’s eighth anniversary celebrations and falls under its corporate social responsibility efforts. Sun Nepal Life has launched a broader campaign to plant 8,000 saplings, with the first phase seeing 1,000 lemon plants planted in the area.
The event was led by Sudurpashchim Province Head Laxmikant Jaisi as chief guest. Among those present were Lumbini World Peace Forum chairperson Basu Gautam, Dadeldhura branch head Khagaraj Shah, and a large number of local residents, reflecting strong community participation.

According to the company, the lemon saplings have been handed over to the local community to ensure their care and long-term benefit. The initiative is expected to support environmental conservation, encourage greenery, and boost local fruit production.
Sun Nepal Life has increasingly focused on marking its anniversary through community-driven initiatives rather than limiting it to formal ceremonies. The company believes such programs can make a meaningful contribution at the local level by promoting environmental sustainability, improving green cover, and supporting land conservation efforts.
