Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu Marks 86th National Day

The Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu celebrated today the 86th National Day of Pakistan with a flag hoisting ceremony led by Ambassador H.E. Abrar H Hashmi.

On the occasion, messages from Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar were read out, highlighting themes of unity, democracy, and regional peace.

President Zardari emphasized solidarity, rule of law, and the fight against extremism. Meanwhile Prime Minister Sharif underscored Pakistan’s commitment to global peace and reiterated support for Kashmir and Palestine. Deputy Prime Minister Dar paid tribute to Pakistan’s founding leaders and reaffirmed continued support for the Kashmiri people.

Ambassador Hashmi congratulated the Pakistani community in Nepal, praised their contributions, and expressed hope for stronger Pakistan-Nepal ties. He also announced that, in line with government instructions, the traditional National Day Reception would not be held this year due to regional tensions.
