Formation of Nepal Life Damak Branch Committee Under Nepal National Insurance Agents Association

Kathmandu — A new branch committee has been formed at the Damak branch of Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited under the Nepal National Insurance Agents Association. The committee has been established with the aim of uniting all insurance agents, safeguarding their rights and interests, and strengthening their collective voice so that concerns of both agents and policyholders can be effectively raised with the relevant authorities.

The committee was formed on March 23, 2026, during a program held at Kankai Party Palace in Damak-9, with the participation of hundreds of insurance agents. The newly formed committee is expected to play an active role in strengthening unity among agents, ensuring their professional rights, and upholding dignity within the profession.

In the newly formed branch committee, Nabin Tamrakar has been elected as Chairperson, Tilrupa Subedi as Vice-Chairperson, Lal Bahadur Khadka as Secretary, Rama Devi Pathak as Joint Secretary, and Sudha Kandangwa as Treasurer. Members of the committee include Soma Kumari Rai, Harihar Dulal, Reshma Limbu, Manit Dhimal, Bishnu Maya Adhikari, Ajay Shah, Laxmi Prasad Bhega, Hemant Rijal, Saju Diyali, and Hari Kumar Karki, among others. The chief advisors are Janak Koirala, Naresh Banjara, Bhagiratha Upreti, and Jeevan Jyoti Bajracharya.

The event was inaugurated by Nepal National Insurance Agents Association President Rajendra Amatya, who lit the ceremonial lamp. Senior Vice-President Ram Kumar Budhathoki, Secretary Shri Prasad Sitoula, Joint Secretary Ganesh Kalikote, along with Nepal Life Insurance Committee central President Krishna Prasad Acharya, Vice-President Tejmani Prasain, Secretary Tej Prasad Tiwari, and member Sita Thebe, among others, extended their best wishes during the program.

Damak Municipality Deputy Mayor Regina Bhattarai Prasai, Ward Chair Kuber Bhattarai, ward member Naresh Banjara, along with other local representatives and a large number of agents from various branches, were also present.

Speaking at the event, the newly elected officials pledged to amplify the voices of insurance agents at the relevant authorities, work toward ensuring professional security, and move forward in an inclusive manner by bringing all agents together. Participants expressed confidence that the expansion of the association would boost morale among insurance professionals and help address long-standing professional challenges.
