Selection Procedure Finalized for Appointment of Nepal Insurance Authority Chairman

Kathmandu — The Chairman Selection Committee of the Nepal Insurance Authority has finalized a new procedure for the appointment of a chairman, following approval from the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal.
The committee, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Shiva Raj Adhikari, Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission, issued the procedure outlining the application process, evaluation methods, and selection criteria. Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanshyam Upadhyaya and expert member Dr. Khom Raj Kharel are serving as members of the committee.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the process will begin with a seven-day public notice inviting applications from interested candidates. Applicants will be assessed under a structured evaluation system, with 40 marks allocated for the business plan, 30 marks for presentation, and 30 marks for the oral interview.
This time, the oral examination has been emphasized with a total weight of 60 marks, designed to simplify the assessment process. Notably, the procedure does not include marks for academic qualifications or professional experience.
