Non-Life Insurance Companies Collect Over Rs 8 Billion Premium in First Two Months of FY

Kathmandu — Non-life insurance companies in Nepal have earned more than Rs 8 billion in total insurance premiums during the first two months of the current fiscal year.

According to data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, 14 non-life insurers collected a combined premium of Rs 8.12 billion in the review period, reflecting steady business growth in the sector.

Among the companies, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance led the market with Rs 894.4 million in total premiums. Shikhar Insurance followed closely with Rs 848.2 million, while Siddhartha Premier Insurance secured third place with Rs 773.3 million.

Himalayan Everest Insurance earned Rs 711.7 million during the same period. Similarly, NLG Insurance collected Rs 687.5 million, IGI Presidency Rs 629.1 million, The Oriental Insurance Rs 595 million, and Neco Insurance Rs 580.1 million.
