Kunal Kayal Appointed Vice President of Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Kathmandu – Kunal Kayal, Chairman of Sanima GIC Insurance Company Limited, has been appointed as the Vice President of the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI). Kayal has been actively involved in the chamber’s leadership for the past five years, serving as Treasurer in the previous executive committee and as an active member in the current one.

NICCI expressed confidence that his appointment will further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Nepal and India in areas of trade, investment, and industrial development. The chamber stated that Kayal’s experience and strategic leadership will play a key role in advancing NICCI’s objectives of promoting investment, trade, tourism, energy and hydropower, infrastructure, services, human resources, information technology, and technology transfer between the two nations.

A chartered accountant by profession, Kayal is the Director of the Kayal Group — a leading business conglomerate in Nepal with diversified interests in manufacturing, construction materials, hydropower and solar energy, real estate, banking and insurance, tourism, and healthcare. He also serves as the Honorary Consul General of Nepal to Jordan, a position that enhances his engagement and visibility in international business and diplomacy.

In addition, the NICCI Executive Committee has promoted Marshall Rathore to the position of Director. Rathore, who has been associated with NICCI for the past 24 years, previously served as Deputy Director. His long-standing contribution and institutional knowledge are expected to further enhance the operational efficiency and organizational strength of the chamber.
