Kathmandu — Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Shafiqur Rahman, called for wider international promotion of the “Made in Bangladesh” brand through competitive, quality products and services, speaking at Walton’s Global Distributors Meet at The Soaltee hotel here.

Addressing about 300 sales representatives from Bangladesh and Nepal, Rahman praised Walton as a leading Bangladeshi electronics manufacturer and commended its move to reward top-performing sales staff. He also lauded Thapa Group, Walton’s Nepal partner since 2010, and called for expanding distribution and after-sales networks tailored to Nepali consumers.

Citing an earlier visit to Walton’s factories, Rahman said the company’s manufacturing standards and innovation were strengthening Bangladesh’s position in the global electronics industry and helping diversify its export base. He pledged embassy support for Walton’s expansion and thanked the company for hosting the event in Kathmandu, calling Bangladesh-Nepal ties “rock-solid.”

The event, held to recognize high-performing Walton sales staff, featured cultural performances, a Walton Plaza overview, a video on the Nepal tour, and remarks from senior executives S.M. Mahbub Alam, Md. Rayhan, and Mofizur Rahaman Zakir of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC and Walton Plaza.
