Kathmandu — Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has entered its ninth year of operations, continuing to expand its presence in Nepal’s life insurance market.
Registered with the Office of the Company Registrar on October 16, 2007, under the Companies Act, 2006, the company received its licence to conduct life insurance business in 2017. Since entering the sector, it has expanded its services and business with a focus on customers’ needs, changing lifestyles and financial circumstances.
As a growing life insurer in Nepal, Sun Nepal Life offers a range of products tailored to different needs, including life insurance, savings, children’s education and group insurance. The company is led by a six-member board of directors chaired by Anuj Kayal, an experienced businessperson associated with the Kayal Group in various capacities. Chief Executive Officer Raj Kumar Aryal oversees the company’s overall operations. Aryal has more than 17 years of experience in the insurance sector and previously served at the Insurance Board as deputy director and head of its legal department. He holds a master’s degree in law.
Most of the shares held by the company’s promoter group are owned by individuals and entities associated with the Kayal, K.C. and Rungta groups. Building on its experienced leadership, professional workforce, nationwide agent network and customer trust, the company aims to further expand life insurance access in the years ahead.
