Unanimous decision of the ruling party to investigate the corruption of Ncell Company
Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal- Prachanda has succeeded in making a unanimous decision to investigate the scam involved in the purchase and sale of 80 percent of Ncell’s shares leading to billions in tax evasion. At the meeting of the ruling coalition called by Prime Minister Prachanda today, the ruling coalition unanimously agreed to investigate the corruption that is happening in Ncell.
In the discussion held by Prime Minister Prachanda in the presence of government employees, communications secretary and other high-ranking people, ministers, it was agreed that the top leaders of all parties will leave no stone unturned to investigate the possibility of corruption in the purchase and sale of Ncell shares.
Prime Minister Dahal held a meeting with the leaders of the ruling coalition on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the issue of buying and selling Ncell. Agni Prasad Sapkota, the vice president of the Maoist Center, who participated in the meeting, said that it was decided to take action even if any kind of corruption was found in the purchase and sale of Ncell shares. Leader Sapkota said, “Since the purchase and sale of Ncell in abroad was found to be fraudulent, it was agreed to study and investigate in depth”.
The leader of Nepali Congress, Ramesh Lekhak, said that the leaders of other political parties have agreed to investigate the Ncell purchase and sale and have given a mandate to proceed with the action. “It has been concluded that the government should immediately investigate the purchase and sale of shares of Ncell and conduct a thorough study on it in a sensitive manner and this matter should be done in accordance with the law in the interest of the country and the people.”
Former Prime Minister and Congress Chairman-Sher Bahadur Deuba, Former Prime Minister and President of United Socialist-Madhav Kumar Nepal, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister-Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Finance Minister- Prakash Sharan Mahat, Minister of Communication and Information Technology-Rekha Sharma, Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs-Dhanraj Gurung, Sharat Singh Bhandari participated in power coalition meeting held on 11th December, 2023 A.D .
This decision was taken also by a meeting consisting of LOSAPA Chairman Mahanta Thakur, JSP leader Rajendra Shrestha, Maoist vice-chairman Agni Sapkota and Pampha Bhusal, United Socialists leader Rajendra Pandey and Congress chief adviser Ramesh Lekhak.
