Digital Insurance Policy Guidelines Drafts Ready, Requested suggestion from expert

Kathmandu : Nepal Insurance Authority has prepared a draft of Digital Insurance Policy Guideline 2080 B.S. The authority has requested more suggestions from the experts while preparing a draft on the subject which has been studied for a long time.The authority has prepared a guideline so that insurance-related work that is done physically can be done online.

According to the Authority, the guidelines have been prepared with the expectation of removing the obligation of the insured to be physically present and insured. According to the draft now, life, non-life, micro and reinsurance companies will have to build a digital platform where Surrender and payment of the insurance policy can be done online. Also the insured will be able to purchase through the digitalize media easily. The authority, while preparing the draft, has mentioned that the investment made by the insurance companies in the IT sector should be increased.

In order to make the technology-friendly and transparent, the authority has prepared a draft of the Digital Insurance Policy Guideline 2080 B.S. The authority has also requested suggestions from experts on the draft by 14 February, 2024 A.D, (2 Falgun 2080 B.S)
