The Government is Ready to Reform Policies Inorder to Facilitate Foreign Investors:  Prime Minister Dahal

Kathmandu ; Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the government is ready to facilitate foreign investors who are willing to invest in Nepal during the meeting with the Indian delegation led by Sanjeev Puri, President of the Confederation of Indian Industries.

The CII (Confederation of Indian Industries) delegation had a meeting with Prime Minister Dahal, Finance Minister Barshman Pun along with Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister, Damodar Bhandari on Wednesday, 28th of Chaitra, 2080 B.S (10th of April, 2024 A.D). The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of Nepal Federation of Commerce and Industry, Chandra Prasad Dhakal as well as other officials and executive members of the federation.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal said that the Government is willing to make policy reforms to facilitate foreign investors. He also said that the government will also provide logistical support to foreign investors. He asked the CII delegation to invest in Nepal.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Pun said that Indian economy has a big role in Nepal’s economy and assured the CII delegation that he would do his best to promote trade and investment between Nepal and India.Similarly, Industry Minister Bhandari said that he will provide all necessary support to facilitate the establishment of industries by foreign investors in Nepal.

The CII team led by President Puri, came to Kathmandu to participate in the 58th Annual General Meeting of Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
