Madan Dahal Assigned Additional Responsibilities in Finance Sector

Kathmandu – The Nepal Insurance Authority’s Executive Chairman, Madan Dahal, has been given additional responsibilities, assuming the role of Director General of the Inland Revenue Department. The Ministry of Finance announced his transfer, adding to his existing leadership in the insurance sector.

Previously overseeing the Administration Division at the Ministry of Finance, Dahal has now been assigned to lead the Customs Department as well. Until a new chairman is appointed, he will continue managing the Nepal Insurance Authority while handling his duties at the Inland Revenue Department in Lazimpat.

Dahal’s dual responsibilities may pose challenges, as the Inland Revenue Department is a high-pressure institution focused on revenue collection. Employees of the Insurance Authority may need to coordinate more closely with the Revenue Department to ensure smooth operations.
