Corona gave Birth to ‘Posilo’: Original Product, Full Nutrient

Kathmandu: The three-day ”GAI Food and Beverage and Hospitality 2023” is going on in Bhrikutimandap. In the trade fair focusing on food, beverages and hospitality, there is a food stall next to the west side door of the exhibition hall.

Pure Nepali name ‘Posilo’, the product is also pure Nepali. That too, four types of ‘Satu’ made from grains grown in the highlands.

Prithvi Kalyan Parajuli, the brainchild of Posilo, is the founder of Posilo, who has stayed himself to promote the pure organic ‘Posilo’ Satu. Prithvi himself is the Managing Director of Posilo.

The promoters of Posilo make those who come to view the stall to drink satu in a cup.

Also, they speak confidently about the features and quality of the product.

Posilo is producing four types of satu, Multigrain, Proteinplus, Nutridilite and Nutriplus, which are matched according to the age group.From social media to e-commerce Daraz is using it for branding and sales.

Managing Director Parajuli says that “Satu” made by mixing 12-13 ingredients including Jumla dal and Mustang millet is very popular in the sports and fitness industry.

He said that he has chosen nutrition to promote Nepali original products and is also working to promote food crops produced in rural areas.

25-year-old Thito Satu lover?Born in Pokhara, Kaski, Parajuli was barely 25 years old. As soon as BBA was completed, the corona epidemic came.

During the corona period of 2020 and 2021, there was a lot of discussion about nutrition and people focused more on it.And, even though all other businesses were closed at that time, the businesses related to food supply were not closed.

Prithvi, who was observing all this closely, started researching the subject of his interest, nutrition.

He studied in a safe place throughout the Corona period, but after the Corona epidemic became normal, he went to different places in the country and did research by testing food.

In 2021, he decided to do food related work and registered the company. In that year, he started producing three types of satu. Within 2 months of producing three types of satu, he added another product.

He said that he decided to make and sell satu because he already likes organic food.

He has kept its factory in Pokhara Mahanagar 18 and has kept the company’s corporate office in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur. He has placed distributors in 6 locations.

Parajuli, which started production and distribution with 5 lakhs, has now built a capital of 2 crores. Due to the fact that he has studied business, he is equally smart in the field of financial management. He has insured the business and is also coordinating with the local and state governments.Parajuli is still remembered as Posilo reached a new height in the 9th National Games and Gandaki province still loves Posilo. In the 9th national sports, both the players and the manager ate a lot of food. Even now that craze is still the same.

How was the name ‘Posilo’ chosen?While searching for what to name the company, Parajuli must have noted nearly 200 names.

They could not choose a suitable name from those two hundred. He did not like any of the 200 names. In search of the same name, he often searches social media, sometimes books and dictionaries.

One day while he was reading an article on food, he noticed the word ‘Posilo’. He studied economics completely, but only “Posilo” was removed from it. Now he is selling it in the market. Corona has made the earth the owner of ‘Posilo’.
