Kathmandu : Nepal Insurance Authority Chairman Surya Prasad Silwal has said that the need for digital technology in the insurance sector is increasing.Met Life Insurance Company released a new mobile app called ‘One’, seeing its importance President Silwal said that digital insurance service is necessary also to show the presence and accessibility of insurance in the remote areas of Nepal.President Silwal said in the event, “If the access to digital insurance services increases for the general public, people will get direct involvement and interest in insurance will increase.” He informed that Mate Life has introduced an app called “One (Solution)”, which will take care of the customer from the beginning to the end of their any medical related problems. Health care is the best care in human life. He also said that if the health care is digitalize then quality services with many features will be provided at a cheap price and from the excess of only mobiles online.He clarified that the authority is not in favor of insurance policy cuts and said that a national network of insurance reaching the whole country’s people and also said that insured friendly insurance policy is the need of the day. He also said that insurance facilities should made affordable for all the people living even in rural area of our country as this will give them confidence in their work and also the support in facing the risk during their work.”Insurance should also be made to be able to reach the lowest level and provide services, just like the banks have been able to do in villages and rural areas” says Mr. Chairman. And along with the app facility proper depart should be deployed with several experts on teaching the rural people how to use the app in a proper way. Then soon, people will have treatment in more reliable and urgent way.
