Finance Minister Dr. Mahat said that the Economy has not Damaged as was Rumored in the Market
Kathmandu : Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that the economy has not become a damaged as was rumored in the market. He arrived in Chitwan and told to reporters at Bharatpur Airport, that the government is working around the speed-up the economic sector.
Minister Mahat has also said that preparations have been made to pay the outstanding amount of the builders before Dashain. He said, “The builders are ready to pay the amount up to mid of last June. It is not a huge amount as discussed outside, but now only 6-7 billion is left.”According to Finance Minister Mahat there will be no delay in solving the problem as the relevant ministries have been instructed to submit the correct details.
Only on 5th October, Thursday, the construction businessmen had met the Prime Minister Prachanda and asked him to arrange an environment to make their payments before Dashain.
The Finance Minister has also expected that the monetary policy issued by the National Bank will play a role in facilitating the economy. He also urged businessmen to invest in productive sectors without investing in unnecessary sectors.
