Financial support to Orchid Garden Nepal Project by Mahalaxmi Development Bank

Kathmandu :  Mahalaxmi Development Bank has provided financial support to the Orchid Garden Nepal Project under Corporate Social Responsibility. The Bank coordinated with Round Table Nepal to provide financial support to the Orchid Garden Nepal project established with the main objective of protecting the rights, welfare and health of underprivileged children. The Bank has provided financial support of Rs.50,000 with the aim of improving the current critical condition of the children’s school, which has been providing day care and education to disadvantaged children for the past 17 years, and facilitating the education of the children.

The school is about 4 feet below the ground level, the school has to be closed due to flooding in the classrooms during the rainy season, and the school has been improved under the Orchid Garden Nepal project since the government authority has also informed about the improvement of the school.

According to the bank, the school, which is providing day care services and education to 150 children from 6 months to 9 years old, will have the capacity to provide services to about 200 children after the reform.

In addition, the bank has committed to continue its corporate social responsibility activities more effectively in the coming days.
