Himalayan Airlines started Kathmandu-Shanghai flight

Kathmandu : Himalayan Airlines has started Kathmandu-Shanghai-Kathmandu flight service. The airline has started regular flights to China’s big city Shanghai from Saturday.

The first outbound flight departed from Tribhuvan International Airport at 9:50 am local time for Shanghai. The total number of attainment passenger will 138 on the first flight, which take about 4 hours and 7 minutes.

After December 2, the airline plans to operate the flight service only every Saturday, but from 20 December 2023, the airline plans to expand the flight service twice a week to every Wednesday and Saturday. With  the flight service, this will be the third direct flight service of Himalaya Airlines between Nepal and China. The airline has already been operating regular flights to Beijing and Qingdao.

General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport Pratap Babu Tiwari and Chinese Economic and Commercial Consul for Nepal Cu Yu were present as chief guests in the opening event.
