Citizen Life Provided Support to Jajarkot’s Earthquake Victims

Kathmandu : Citizen Life Insurance has provided relief to Jajarkot earthquake victims. The company created insurance awareness by distributing warm clothes to the victims.

Ramidanda of Jajarkot was the epicenter of the earthquake that occurred on the night of 3rd of November, 2023 A.D and there was a huge loss of property in those area. Among them, Barekot rural municipality ward no .4 was the most affected area where the company distributed relief materials.

The company said that jackets, caps and neckties were distributed to each student of Bhagwati Secondary School and Naumule Primary School in the area. It is said that a total of 479 students are studying in that school.

The distribution of relief materials were done by on the premises of the two schools located in lap of the mountains situated at the border of Jajarkot and Jumla, by Citizen Life Company’s Karnali Region Head Murali Bhandari, Jajarkot Branch Head Gobind Bahadur Budha, Agency Manager Padam Bahadur Budha and Bhawani Shahi in the participation of Ward chairman Bishnu Bahadur Rawat along with Barekot Village Education Branch Representative Surendra Pun, Chairman of the School Management Committee Gopal Bahadur Rawat and others.

Speaking at the insurance awareness program, Murli Bhandari, the head of the company’s Karnali region, gave training on the importance of both life insurance and non-life insurance. Similarly, talking about the security provided by life insurance, Padam Bahadur Budha narrated his long life experience. Speaking at the event, Ward chairman Rawat praised the importance of insurance for the community and the contribution made by Citizen Life for the development and expansion of insurance in remote areas.
