Nepal Telecom earned nearly four billion rupees in 6 months
Kathmandu : Nepal Telecom Limited has managed to earn a profit of nearly four billion rupees in the period up to the second quarter of the current fiscal year. According to the financial statement published by the company, in the six months of the current year, it has earned a net profit of 3 billion 931 million 400 thousand Rupees.
Compared to the same period of the last financial year, it has been seen that it has decreased by 7.60 percent. By the same period of the last fiscal year, the company earned a profit of 4 billion 254 million 700 thousand Rupees, but this year it has decreased. In recent times, the income has decreased due to the increasing use of online communication technology.
According to the raw financial statement published on 13th of February, 2024 A.D, the operating income of the company decreased by 4.59 percent and the financial income decreased by 8.61 percent. The total paid-up capital of Nepal Telecom, which is the main promoter of the Government of Nepal, is 18 billion rupees. Also, 72 billion 676 million 400 thousand rupees are accumulated in the reserve fund.
The income per share of the company has been affected as the profit has been affected. The company’s earnings per share is 43 rupees 68 paise. The net worth per share of the company is Rs 503.76 and the price earnings ratio is 20.62 times.
