Nepal Insurance Partners with Lumbini Lions for NPL 2024

Kathmandu – Nepal Insurance has been announced as the official insurance partner of Lumbini Lions, one of the teams set to compete in the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The partnership was formalized on Wednesday with an agreement signed by Lumbini Lions President Ishwar GC and Nepal Insurance Deputy CEO Ishwar Pokharel.

Deputy CEO Pokharel expressed that the collaboration reflects Nepal Insurance’s commitment to supporting the growth of cricket in Nepal while also fostering the economic and professional development of players. As part of the partnership, the Nepal Insurance logo will feature prominently on the caps worn by the Lumbini Lions players throughout the tournament.

The NPL is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 21 at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Representing Lumbini Province, the Lumbini Lions are led by national team captain Rohit Poudel, with key players including Sandeep Jora, Bivek Yadav, Arjun Saud, and Surya Tamang.

The team is coached by Nandan Phadnis, with former national star Shakti Gauchan serving as a consultant coach. Adding star power, Nepali cinema legend Rajesh Hamal has been named the team’s brand ambassador.

Nepal Insurance aims to bridge the gap between sports and the insurance industry with this partnership, emphasizing its dedication to promoting cricket in the country.
