Life Insurance Companies Collect Rs 53.39 Billion in Premiums
Kathmandu – Nepal’s life insurance industry has demonstrated remarkable growth, with companies collectively earning over half a billion rupees in premiums by the end of Kartik (mid-November). According to data from the Nepal Insurance Authority, the total premium collection amounted to an impressive Rs. 53.39 billion.
Nepal Life Insurance emerged as the top performer, securing its position as the leading company in the sector. The company reported premium earnings of Rs. 15.4 billion, further cementing its dominance in the market. LIC Nepal followed closely with a turnover of Rs. 6.5 billion, while National Life Insurance generated Rs. 6.43 billion in premiums. Himalayan Life Insurance also made significant contributions, earning Rs. 5.58 billion during the period.
