Non-Life Insurance Companies in Nepal Earn Rs 20.88 Billion Premiums in Q2

Kathmandu – Non-life insurance companies in Nepal have collectively earned insurance premiums worth Rs 20.88 billion during the second quarter of the current fiscal year, according to data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority. The premium income reflects the business generated by 14 operational non-life insurance companies over the past six months.

Among the companies, Shikhar Insurance has emerged as the market leader, securing the highest business volume during the period. The company earned insurance premiums worth Rs 2.59 billion, attributing its success to efficient senior management and a seamless claims process that has fostered trust among policyholders.

Trailing closely, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance claimed the second spot with a business volume of Rs 2.55 billion during the same period.

In third place, Siddhartha Premier Insurance generated a total premium income of Rs 2.13 billion. Meanwhile, IGI Prudential Insurance and Himalayan Everest Insurance reported earnings of Rs 1.73 billion and Rs 1.71 billion, respectively, securing their positions among the top-performing companies.
