Health Insurance Coverage to Be Increased to Rs 500,000
Kathmandu – Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has announced plans to raise the current health insurance coverage from Rs 100,000 to Rs 500,000.
Speaking at a program in Bhaktapur on Sunday, Minister Paudel emphasized that the increase in the insurance amount would provide significant financial relief to patients in need. “I will arrange Rs 500,000 for health insurance, which will ensure tangible support to the patients in need”, he stated.
The Minister also highlighted the importance of operating health insurance services through an integrated, one-door system to streamline access and benefits for patients. He reaffirmed his commitment to implementing this enhanced insurance amount in a manner that maximizes its impact and benefits for the public.
