MetLife Insurance Strengthens Financial Position, Profit Rises by 14.81%

Kathmandu – MetLife Insurance has demonstrated strong financial performance in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, showing improvement across key indicators such as profit, business growth, and interest income. The company’s latest financial statement highlights a steady upward trend in its overall financial health.

During the review period, MetLife Insurance recorded a net profit of Rs 222.5 million, reflecting a 14.81% increase from Rs 193.8 million in the same period last year. The company has also strengthened its financial foundation by expanding its life insurance fund to Rs 27.32 billion and retained earning of Rs 2.44 billion.

In addition to profit growth, MetLife Insurance saw a 6.78% rise in its total insurance business, which reached Rs 2.86 billion. The company also generated Rs 1.32 billion in investment and interest income, further solidifying its financial position.

On the expenditure side, MetLife Insurance’s total expenses stood at Rs 3.78 billion during the review period, while insurance claim payments amounted to Rs 1.42 billion.
