Micro Insurance Companies Earn Rs 502.8 Million in Seven Months

Kathmandu –Micro insurance companies in Nepal have collectively earned over Rs 502.8 million in insurance fees in the first seven months of the current financial year, according to the latest statistics released by the Nepal Insurance Authority.
Among these companies, Nepal Micro Insurance Company has emerged as the highest earner, generating Rs 146.8 million in total insurance fees. Protective Micro Insurance followed with earnings of Rs 124.9 million, while Star Micro Insurance recorded Rs 116.6 million. Similarly, Trust Micro Insurance earned Rs 114.3 million in the same period.The data also reveals that these companies have collectively sold 248,000 insurance policies by the end of the month of the Magh this year.
