Non-Life Microinsurance Companies Earn Over Rs 579.6 Million in Eight Months

Kathmandu – Four non-life microinsurance companies in Nepal have earned a total insurance premium of more than Rs 579.6 million in the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2081/082. According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, these companies have issued a total of 230,070 insurance policies during this period.
Nepal Micro Insurance led the sector with a total premium income of Rs 166.4 million. Protective Micro Insurance Company secured the second position, earning Rs 146.3 million, while Star Micro Insurance Company ranked third with a total premium income of Rs 135.1 million. Similarly, Trust Micro Life Insurance earned Rs 131.6 million by expanding its insurance business.
