Life Insurance Companies Earn Rs 108.71 Billion in Premiums in Eight Months

Kathmandu – Life insurance companies in Nepal have collectively earned insurance premiums worth Rs 108.71 billion during the current fiscal year up to Falgun (mid-March), according to the latest data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority.

The report highlights that 14 life insurance companies operating in the country generated this significant revenue over the past eight months. Among them, Nepal Life Insurance secured the highest premium collection, amounting to Rs 29.39 billion during the review period.
National Life Insurance ranked second, with a total business volume of Rs 13.62 billion in premiums. LIC Nepal and Himalayan Life Insurance secured the third and fourth positions, earning Rs 12.56 billion and Rs 11.22 billion, respectively.

Other notable contributions came from Sanima Reliance Life Insurance with Rs 4.29 billion, Met Life Nepal with Rs 3.88 billion, IME Life with Rs 3.88 billion, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life with Rs 3.19 billion, and Sun Nepal Life with Rs 2.7 billion in insurance premiums.
