NLG Insurance Organizes Awareness Program on Non-Life Insurance in Dhanusha
Kathmandu — NLG Insurance Company Limited successfully conducted an interaction and discussion program on non-life insurance at Dhalkebar, Mithila Municipality in Dhanusha district on Tuesday. The event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of non-life insurance among farmers, technicians, and local stakeholders.
The program was held in the presence of chief guest Asheshwar Shah, Chief of the Agriculture and Livestock Department of Mithila Municipality. It brought together NLG Insurance employees, local farmers, agricultural and livestock technicians, and various stakeholders from the region.
During the event, Shailesh Raj Regmi, Madhesh Province Chief of NLG Insurance, shed light on the national and international importance of non-life insurance, explaining its various categories and the claim settlement process. He emphasized how such insurance plays a vital role in mitigating unforeseen risks and ensuring economic stability for individuals and businesses.
Yubaraj Dhakal, Chief of NLG Insurance’s Lalbandi Branch, elaborated on the significance of agriculture and livestock insurance in the context of Nepal’s agrarian economy. He discussed the procedures involved and highlighted how insurance coverage can protect the livelihoods of farmers against natural disasters, diseases, and other potential losses.
Sanjay Kumar Bhattarai, Head of the Janakpur Branch of NLG Insurance, introduced participants to a newly launched software system developed by the Nepal Insurance Authority. He explained that the adoption of this digital platform would significantly enhance the efficiency, transparency, and speed of agricultural and livestock insurance services.
Attendees included Ram Shankar Yadav and Sanjay Kumar Mahato from the Dhanusha Animal Service Branch, along with several farmers who actively participated in a Q&A session. Detailed discussions were held on key topics such as crop insurance, vegetable insurance, livestock insurance, and other non-life insurance products.
