Sun Life to Issue Right Shares, Book Closure Date Announced

Kathmandu – Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has announced its book closure on Baisakh 5 (April 18) for the purpose of issuing right shares. The company has stated that only shareholders who own its ordinary shares by Baisakh 4 (April 17) will be eligible to apply for the upcoming right share offering.
The right share issuance was approved earlier by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), allowing the company to issue a total of 10.696 million units at a face value of Rs 100 per share. The issuance will be conducted in a ratio of 1:0.27, meaning shareholders will be entitled to 27 right shares for every 100 shares they hold.
While the company has finalized the book closure date, it has not yet announced the specific date for the actual issuance of the right shares. Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited has been appointed as the issue manager and underwriter for the offering.
