Suryajyoti Life Insurance Celebrates 17th Anniversary, Highlights Milestones and Future Goals

Kathmandu — SuryajJyoti Life Insurance Company, known for leading Nepal’s first successful merger in the life insurance sector, marked its 17th anniversary with a grand celebration, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, service quality, and employee development.

The event was attended by Chairman Keshav Prasad Bhattarai, board members, former directors, CEO Prakash Bikram Khatri, senior management, department heads, and former employees. On the occasion, 21 employees who have served the company for over 15 years were honored for their long-standing contributions.

CEO Khatri highlighted the company’s steady growth, stating that its financial strength, service reliability, and technological adoption have significantly improved. “We are focused on employee rights, skill development, and maintaining a family-like environment at SuryajJyoti,” Khatri said, adding that the company is on track to achieve its best business performance by the end of this fiscal year.

Chairman Bhattarai expressed gratitude to customers, agents, employees, shareholders, and regulatory bodies for their continued trust. He reiterated the company’s commitment to institutional good governance, transparency, and policy adherence.

In line with its digital transformation, SuryajJyoti recently launched services such as ‘SuryaJyoti e-loan’—a digital platform for easy online loans—and the ‘SuryaJyoti Cares Digital Card’ for enhanced customer service.

SuryaJyoti Life remains the only life insurance company in Nepal to receive the ISO 9001:2015 international quality standard certification. The company boasts a paid-up capital of Rs 5.01 billion, total investments of Rs 44 billion, an insurance fund of Rs 39.40 billion, and a net worth of Rs 6.30 billion. It currently manages over 3.25 million insurance policies through a network of 102,000 trained agents and 174 branches.
