Sanima Reliance’s ‘Dampati Jeevan Beema’ Insurance Plan Gaining Popularity Among Married Couples

Kathmandu — In a society where couples often share joint responsibilities such as managing household expenses, repaying loans, raising children, and building a secure future, Sanima Reliance Life Insurance’s ‘Dampati Jeevan Beema’ plan is emerging as a practical financial safeguard for married partners
Recognizing the uncertainties of life including the risk of accidents, illnesses, and untimely death — the company has designed this insurance plan to provide financial security and peace of mind for couples. The plan aligns with the traditional Nepali family structure, offering coverage that protects both partners under a single policy.
The policy includes a wide range of benefits such as accidental death coverage, total permanent disability benefit, critical illness protection, and a premium waiver in case of disability. For instance, if one partner dies in an accident, the surviving spouse is entitled to a lump sum payment of up to double the insured amount, along with a waiver on future premium payments. If both partners pass away due to natural causes during the policy period, the sum assured, bonuses, and death benefits are paid to the nominee.
In the case of total permanent disability of either partner, the premium is waived, and the disability benefit is paid. If both partners become permanently disabled within a year of the first incident, both are eligible for the benefit as per policy terms.
Moreover, the plan offers critical illness coverage for up to 18 listed diseases, with Rs. 25.00,000 paid to each insured upon diagnosis. A couple aged 32 and 35, for example, can secure coverage worth Rs. 2.5 million over 21 years by paying an annual premium of Rs. 1,65,250.
Eligible couples must be between 21 and 50 years of age with a maximum age difference of seven years. The policy term ranges from 15 to 30 years, and the insured sum can start from Rs. 50,000 with no upper limit. Premiums can be paid annually, semi-annually, or quarterly, offering flexibility for different financial situations.
Sanima Reliance encourages newlyweds to purchase the plan early, ensuring maximum benefits and savings from the outset. The company, known for its innovative and customer-oriented insurance solutions, remains financially strong and continues to expand its presence in the Nepali market with plans tailored to local needs.
