Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Reports Higher Profit and Income in Third Quarter

Kathmandu — Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Limited has published its financial results for the third quarter of the current fiscal year, ending mid-April 2026. The report shows growth in key financial indicators, including profit and income, compared to the same period last fiscal year.

The company posted a net profit of NPR 275 million during the review period, up 1.61% from NPR 270.7 million recorded in the corresponding period last year. The increase in earnings was mainly supported by higher overall income during the current fiscal year.

Net insurance premium income rose significantly during the period. The company earned NPR 4.15 billion in net premiums, marking a 28.89% increase from NPR 3.49 billion reported in the same period last year. The growth reflects the company’s aggressive expansion in the insurance business.

The company’s life insurance fund also recorded strong growth, increasing by 32% to NPR 16.90 billion from NPR 12.80 billion a year earlier.

However, Earnings Per Share (EPS) declined slightly from NPR 7.07 to NPR 6.91, while net worth per share stood at NPR 115.60.

The company’s paid-up capital currently stands at NPR 5.30 billion. It has maintained NPR 19.3 million in share premium, NPR 138.4 million in the catastrophe reserve fund, and NPR 332.1 million in reserve funds.
