LIC Nepal’s Profit Jumps 35%, Most Financial Indicators Show Improvement
Kathmandu — Life Insurance Corporation Nepal reported a net profit of Rs 320.4 million by the end of the third quarter of fiscal year 2025/26 A.D. (2082/83 B.S.), marking a 35.78% increase from Rs 236 million recorded during the same period last year.
According to the company’s financial statement, net earned premium income also rose by 8.22% year-on-year to Rs 15.10 billion during the review period, compared to Rs 13.95 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The company’s life insurance fund increased by 10.44% to Rs 143.36 billion, up from Rs 129.80 billion recorded during the same period last year.

However, income generated from investments and loans declined slightly, falling to Rs 7.26 billion during the review period.
LIC Nepal’s total income rose to Rs 24.31 billion during the first nine months of the current fiscal year, compared to Rs 23.33 billion a year earlier.
Total expenses also increased to Rs 22.16 billion, up from Rs 21.18 billion recorded during the same period last year.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) improved to Rs 7.77 from Rs 5.72 recorded in the previous fiscal year. Net worth per share stood at Rs 176.47.
LIC Nepal, which has a paid-up capital of Rs 5.50 billion, has maintained Rs 2.57 billion in its reserve fund.
