Four Himalayan Life Directors Resign, Two New Members Appointed to Board

Kathmandu – Himalayan Life Insurance Limited has announced a reshuffle in its board of directors, with four directors stepping down and two new members appointed to fill the vacancies.

Founder shareholders’ representative Saurabh Duggad and public shareholders’ representatives Pramila K.C., Sachin Acharya, and Ashish Dhakal have resigned from the company’s board. Their resignations were accepted at the board meeting held on July 3, 2026.

At the same meeting, the board resolved to appoint two new directors to serve for the remainder of the current term, subject to ratification at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

According to Company Secretary Bikash Basnet, Prakash Muni Bajracharya, a resident of Ward No. 18 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has been appointed as a director representing the founder shareholders. Likewise, Surakshya Kafle, a permanent resident of Waling Municipality-7 in Syangja and currently residing in Ward No. 23 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, has been appointed as a director representing the public shareholders.
