National Life Sets Growth Agenda, Honors Top Performers at Managers’ Conference

Kathmandu — National Life Insurance Company Limited has concluded its four-day Branch Managers’ Conference at Hotel Manakamana Hillcrest Resort in Manakamana, Gorkha, under the theme “Raising the Bar, Redefining Success.”

The conference focused on business expansion, upcoming strategies, challenges in the competitive insurance market and employee development. More than 200 participants, including departmental heads, provincial heads, branch managers and marketing staff, attended the event.

Chairperson Prema Rajyalakshmi Singh said the growing competition in the life insurance sector requires employees to continuously upgrade their skills. She highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence in insurance and digital marketing and said the company would continue investing in employee training and career development.

Chief Executive Officer Suresh Prasad Khatri said the beginning of the new fiscal year should be viewed as an opportunity to renew the company’s goals and commitments.

Nepal Insurance Authority Director Shambhuraj Lamichhane conducted training on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism, urging employees to remain vigilant about financial crimes. AI trainer Bishwaraj Poudel conducted a separate session on using AI tools for digital marketing, while Sri Lankan trainer Suran D. Silva provided practical training on business growth, market expansion and competition.

The company also honored top-performing branches and employees for fiscal year 2025/26. Awards were given to branches excelling in branch operations, first-year premium collection, active agent recruitment and policy issuance. Branches that performed best in recruiting agents for the Chairperson’s Club and CEO’s Club programs were also recognized.

The conference also featured badminton, table tennis, musical chairs and other recreational activities to strengthen employee relations.

National Life said the four-day event helped set business priorities for the new fiscal year while strengthening coordination, professional capacity and institutional commitment.
