Sanima Life Provides NPR 6 Million in Assistance to Flood Victims

Kathmandu — Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has provided NPR 6 million in financial assistance for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River area of Rasuwa.

The company deposited the amount into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support families affected by the floods that occurred on Bhadra 10.

At a program held at the Ministry of Finance, Sun Nepal Life Chief Executive Officer Raj Kumar Aryal handed over a cheque for NPR 6 million to Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle for the relief fund. Company Director Shashank Agrawal and Company Secretary Binod Sharma Poudel were also present at the event.

The company expressed deep condolences to the families of citizens who lost their lives in the floods and disaster. It also wished those injured a speedy recovery and pledged to continue extending support in the future to families affected by natural disasters.

According to the company, the financial assistance was provided as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. The company expressed confidence that the contribution would support not only immediate relief efforts but also the rehabilitation of people affected by the disaster.

The Bhotekoshi floods caused extensive damage in Rasuwa and surrounding areas, prompting various government and non-government agencies to provide assistance for rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts. Sun Nepal Life said it had also contributed as part of its social responsibility during the national disaster.
