Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Provides NPR 5.1 Million to Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund
Kathmandu — Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Limited has provided NPR 5.1 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The cheque was handed over to Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle at the Ministry of Finance today by the company’s Chairperson, Sanjhana Aryal; Board Members Birendra Jung Pandey and Shamsher Parajuli; and Chief Executive Officer Santosh Prasai.
The company provided the assistance while expressing deep sorrow over the significant loss of life and property caused by the devastating Bhotekoshi River floods on Bhadra 10 in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Chitwan and other river-belt areas. Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life said it would continue to stand with those affected during this difficult time.
The company expressed heartfelt condolences to those affected by the disaster, as dozens of citizens lost their lives prematurely, many remain missing, and hundreds of families have been displaced after settlements and infrastructure were damaged by the severe flooding and inundation.
Expressing solidarity with the efforts being undertaken by the Government of Nepal, security agencies and local organizations for the immediate rescue and relief of disaster-affected citizens and their long-term rehabilitation, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Limited provided NPR 5.1 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund under its corporate social responsibility initiative.
The company has been providing support during various national crises, natural disasters and pandemics since its establishment. In keeping with its core message, “Not worry, but confidence,” the company expressed confidence that its financial contribution during the current crisis would provide additional support for the search and rescue of flood victims, food supplies, healthcare and rehabilitation efforts.

It also wished for the swift search and rescue of those still missing and the speedy recovery of the injured, while expressing its highest respect and gratitude to all security personnel, volunteers and concerned agencies working tirelessly in rescue and relief operations.
