Singapore College of Insurance to Hold Cyber Claims Training for Asian Insurers
The Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) will conduct a specialized training program on cyber insurance claims on September 28, 2026, targeting insurers, reinsurers and brokers as ransomware, data breaches and technology outages continue to drive losses for businesses across Asia.
The three-hour hybrid session, worth 3 CPD hours, will be available both in-person in Singapore and virtually. It will walk participants through the claims process — from incident notification to coverage assessment and settlement — while addressing common pitfalls such as delayed reporting, incomplete documentation and policy overlaps.
The programme will be led by Arthur Yong, South Asia Claims Advocacy Leader at Marsh, and Sumyutha Sivamani, an insurance partner at law firm RPC specialising in cyber risk.
It is open to claims professionals, underwriters, brokers, and legal and risk teams handling cyber incidents. Fees range from S$150 to S$218, with a 10% discount for group bookings of three or more.
