Laxmi KC Achieves Ninth MDRT Success in 14-Year Insurance Career
Kathmandu — Laxmi KC, an insurance agent who has been working at LIC Nepal’s Bhairahawa branch for the past 14 years, has achieved another major milestone in her professional career. KC has now qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for the ninth time.
KC, who attributes her success primarily to customer trust and consistent hard work, also qualified for the Court of the Table (COT) in 2021. She has also been consistently achieving membership in LIC Nepal’s Chairman’s Club, one of the company’s highest recognition clubs, since 2018.
Having achieved MDRT qualification individually from the Bhairahawa branch for the past two years, KC views her professional achievements not simply as personal success but as part of a broader effort to promote insurance awareness. According to her, life insurance is not only a means of managing financial risks that may arise in the future, but also an important tool for developing a regular savings habit, ensuring family financial security and preparing systematically for the future.
“Every agent who enters the insurance sector dreams of achieving MDRT. I feel extremely happy and proud to have qualified for MDRT repeatedly. But for me, the greatest satisfaction is not the achievement itself, but being able to help customers understand the importance of insurance and secure their families’ futures,” KC said.
Thousands of agents are currently active in Nepal’s life insurance sector. Alongside her professional work, KC has been producing insurance awareness videos and other educational content through online platforms and social media. She says her content has not only helped customers understand the importance of insurance but has also encouraged both new and experienced agents to become more motivated in their profession.

KC, who has consistently promoted insurance awareness through digital platforms, is said to have earned the trust of many customers through her videos and other content. She also says that many people have been inspired by her content to pursue careers as insurance agents.
“Being able to work for a long time by helping customers understand the importance of insurance, assisting them in choosing the right plans for their family’s financial security and promoting insurance awareness in society is my greatest source of happiness,” KC said.
KC holds two degrees in sociology and management and has been applying her academic knowledge in practice while pursuing insurance as both a profession and a means of service. She says her primary objectives are to help customers select appropriate insurance plans based on their needs, encourage a culture of regular saving and contribute to the financial security of their families.
A long-serving agent at LIC Nepal, KC has established herself as a successful and inspirational agent at the Bhairahawa branch through her repeated MDRT achievements, continued recognition in the Chairman’s Club and digital campaigns promoting insurance awareness.
Her ninth MDRT qualification is expected to inspire a new generation of insurance agents to pursue their careers with consistent effort, customer trust and a service-oriented approach.
