Supreme Court Schedules Hearing on Sharad Ojha’s Writ Petition for Shrawan 14

Kathmandu — The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing on Shrawan 14 (July 30) for the writ petition filed by Sharad Ojha, the suspended chairman of the Nepal Insurance Authority.
The case, which had earlier been listed before a division bench comprising Justices Manoj Kumar Sharma and Abdul Aziz Musalman, was postponed but is now officially set for hearing this week.
Ojha had filed the writ petition seeking an interim order against the government’s decision. The Supreme Court had called both parties for a discussion before making a decision on whether to issue the interim order.
Ojha has been accused of submitting fake documents to the Council of Ministers to secure his appointment as chair of the Insurance Authority. A separate case concerning these allegations is also pending at the Supreme Court.
