Siddhartha Premier Insurance Swiftly Settles Claims from Gen Z Protests

Kathmandu — Siddhartha Premier Insurance has taken the lead in settling insurance claims arising from the recent Gen Z protests, underlining its commitment to providing fast and reliable financial relief to affected policyholders.
The company confirmed that it has already disbursed Rs 558 million for 11 claims on Bhadra 23 and 24, including both settlement and advance payments. These early payouts mark a strong beginning in the claims process, aimed at restoring confidence among property owners and businesses impacted by the protests.
As of Ashoj 8, a total of 322 claims have been registered with Siddhartha Premier Insurance, representing an initial claim value of Rs 5.45 billion.
Birendra Baidwar Chhetri, Chairman of the Nepal Insurance Association and CEO of Siddhartha Premier Insurance, stressed that insurers are fully prepared to meet their obligations.
“Insurance companies are capable and ready to compensate in a simple and timely manner, ensuring that those affected by the Gen Z protests do not face unnecessary obstacles in receiving financial support,” he said.
To accelerate settlements, Siddhartha Premier Insurance has mobilized specialized teams of surveyors and staff to assess damages from the onset of the protests.
“We have left no stone unturned in delivering claims quickly and fairly. Our dedicated teams are working closely with affected clients to ensure that payouts are processed without delay,” Chhetri added.
The company has also urged policyholders who have not yet been contacted due to property damage to reach out to its representatives and cooperate in the claim process.
