Nepal Insurance Authority Discusses Measures to Speed Up Claim Settlement

Kathmandu – The Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) convened a meeting on Tuesday with representatives from life insurance companies, microinsurance providers, and reinsurance firms to discuss strategies aimed at facilitating faster and more efficient insurance claim settlements.

The discussions centered on key measures, including the acceleration of advance claim settlements, enhancement of reinsurance and liquidity support, and tackling contemporary challenges to ensure seamless claim management in the current insurance landscape.

Highlighting the regulator’s priorities, the NIA reaffirmed its commitment to safeguard the interests of policyholders while fostering a fair, transparent, and accountable insurance ecosystem across the country.
