Rastriya Jeevan Beema Company Records Rs 1.2 Million Profit in Q1
Kathmandu – The government-owned Rastriya Jeevan Beema Company has published its unaudited financial statements for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, reporting a modest profit alongside a slight contraction in business volume.
According to the statement, the company earned a net profit of Rs 1.2 million during the review period. The insurer has maintained a disaster fund of Rs 19.6 million and a reserve fund of Rs 27.2 million.
The company’s net insurance premium income stood at Rs 4.5 billion, a 1.91 percent decline from the same period of the previous fiscal year.
During the period, net insurance claim payments amounted to Rs 5.22 billion. Meanwhile, the company’s total income stood at Rs 5.62 billion, against total expenses of Rs 5.4 billion.
