Prabhu Insurance Reports Profit and Premium Income in Q1

Kathmandu – Prabhu Insurance Company has published its first-quarter financial results for fiscal year 2082/83, reporting strong performance across key indicators, including profit and premium growth.

The company earned a net profit of Rs 63.13 million in the first three months of the fiscal year—an increase of 12.72 percent compared to Rs 56.14 million recorded in the same period last year.

Prabhu Insurance also posted higher premium income. The insurer’s net insurance premium rose from Rs 119.4 million in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year to Rs 120.7 million this year.

Claim payments increased moderately during the period. The company settled Rs 107.6 million in total claims, up 13.5 percent from Rs 94.7 million last year.

As of the end of Ashar, Prabhu Insurance’s paid-up capital stands at Rs 1.7 billion, while its disaster fund has reached Rs 103.4 million, and the reserve fund has expanded to Rs 249.2 million.

The company reported earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 14.85, and its net worth per share stood at Rs 202.27 for the review period.
