Reliable Nepal Life Reports Higher Profit and Income in Third Quarter
Kathmandu — Reliable Nepal Life Insurance posted a net profit of Rs 470.4 million by the end of the third quarter of fiscal year 2025/26, showing a slight increase from Rs 465.7 million recorded during the same period last year.
According to the company’s unaudited financial statement, net earned premium income rose significantly during the review period. Reliable Nepal Life collected Rs 4.35 billion in net premiums by the third quarter, compared to Rs 3.47 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The company’s total income increased to Rs 5.50 billion from Rs 4.76 billion a year earlier.
Total expenses also rose sharply, reaching Rs 5.02 billion during the review period, compared to Rs 3.31 billion recorded during the same period last year.
Despite the growth in profit and income, earnings per share (EPS) declined. EPS fell to Rs 12.07 from Rs 13.38 recorded during the third quarter of the previous fiscal year. Net worth per share stood at Rs 146.17, while the price-to-earnings ratio was recorded at 38.61 times.
On the balance sheet side, the company’s total assets increased to Rs 24.39 billion, up from Rs 22.04 billion at the end of the previous fiscal year.
Reliable Nepal Life’s reserve fund also expanded to Rs 683 million. The company, which has a paid-up capital of Rs 5.19 billion, has maintained Rs 276.8 million in its catastrophe reserve fund.
Its life insurance fund reached Rs 16.34 billion during the review period, while the company’s solvency ratio stood at 2.54 times.
