Prabhu Insurance’s Net Premium Income Crosses Rs 500 Million, EPS at Rs 16.58

KathmanduPrabhu Insurance has published its third-quarter financial results for the current fiscal year, reporting growth in both premium income and profit.

According to the company’s financial statement, net earned premium income increased by 5% year-on-year to more than Rs 500 million during the review period. The company had reported net premium income of Rs 476.3 million during the same period last fiscal year.

Net profit also rose by 5%, reaching Rs 211.5 million by the end of the third quarter, compared to Rs 200 million recorded during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Commission expenses declined by 2% compared to last year.

Prabhu Insurance’s paid-up capital increased by 18% year-on-year to Rs 1.70 billion, up from Rs 1.44 billion in the previous fiscal year.

The company has maintained Rs 111.8 million in its catastrophe reserve fund and Rs 3.35 billion in its insurance fund.

Earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 16.58, while net worth per share was recorded at Rs 209.55.
