Agreement made by National Life to Contribute 7.5 Million Rupees for the Construction of Children’s Hospital

Kathmandu : On 27th of November, 2023 A.D, an agreement has been signed between National Life Insurance Company and Kathmandu Institute of Child Health regarding contribution on child’s health.

National life has decided to help in the construction on 200 bed capacity non-profit children’s hospital. The construction has already started as the company has decided and made agreement to provide help of 2.5 million Rupees every year for 3 years. During a ceremony on behalf of the company Suresh Prasad Khatri, the executive head of the company, and the founder & chairman of the hospital Prof. Dr. Bhagwan Koirala on behalf of the institute has signed the agreement on 27th November, 2023 A.D.On the same occasion, while signing the agreement, Executive Chief Suresh Prasad Khatri also handed over a cheque of 2.5 million Rupees for the first installment to the hospital.

Prof.Dr. Bhagwan Koirala expressed his gratitude to the National Life Insurance Company for providing financial support for this project, stating that he is going to conduct the project with the aim of providing easy and accessible access to the health of all children in Nepal and also has upcoming plans to gradually provide child health services in other parts of the country.

Likewise, Suresh Prasad Khatri, the executive head of the company, recalled that the company has been active in the field of social responsibility and has been providing financial support in areas such as education, health, natural disaster management and environmental protection since the past, and expressed his happiness on getting chance to contribute on the project of constructing as well as increasing the services of Kathmandu Institute of Child Health.

He said that he is confident that after the operation of the hospital, the children of Nepal will easily get more excellent health services through this hospital.
