Muktinath Bikas Bank Refused to Give Social Security Allowance, In troubling Senior Citizens and Single Women

Kathmandu : Muktinath Bikas Bank located in Golbazar Municipality-4 of Siraha has refused to distribute social security allowance due to lack of staff.

As the bank did not provide social security allowance on time, 1,277 beneficiaries, including senior citizens and single women of wards 7 and 8 of Golbazar municipality were in trouble.

The municipality said that the first quarter installment of the financial year 2023-024 has been completed and sent a week before. The customer complains that the bank has not yet proceeded with the payment process.

Sujandevi Yadav a single woman of Golbazar Municipality-8 expressed her grief that the bank returned the money saying that she had not received the money.

With that money she planned to buy clothes and food to beat the winter she said not getting the payment on time is causing problems.

Rashlal Yadav a senior citizen of Golbazar-8 also says that there is a problem with the non-payment of social security allowance. I have been running to the bank for the last five days. He has to go to Biratnagar for treatment. The bank sent back to come on January 1, he said.

On the other hand Muktinath Bikas Bank said that due to lack of staff internal audit and the manager of the bank was also on leave it could not distribute.
