Laxmi Sunrise Bank’s Gender Equality and Women Empowerment Program completed

Kathmandu : Laxmi Sunrise Bank has organized the program ’24: Women Leadership Empowering, Inspire and Inclusion’ Emphasizing its commitment to promote the culture of inclusiveness, equality, empowerment and social responsible, The honorable member of the National Human Rights Commission, Lily Thapa, the Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund, Teresa Daban Sanchez, Piyush Paudyal of the F One Soft Group, Chief Executive Officer of Vinet Communications, Seva Pathak, among others, express their important views on women’s leadership and empowerment in the program.

Chief Executive Officer of Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Ajay Vikram Shah said that the bank is committed to ensuring the professional development, mental and physical well-being of the women employees of the bank. The initiative includes a comprehensive mentorship program, targeted leadership training, flexible working arrangements during pregnancy, provision of nursing centers and breastfeeding rooms in offices with female employees. At present, 36% of the bank’s workforce are women, while the proportion in metropolitan cities is 45%. About 40% of bank branches in Kathmandu Valley have female branch managers, while 25% of bank departments are head-lead by women. At the end of the program, ‘Modern Mithila Painting’ was also created by all the participants to reflect gender inclusiveness, equality and empowerment.
