International Inclusive Insurance Conference kicks off Today in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: The highly anticipated five-day International Inclusive Insurance Conference kicks off today at the Hotel Yak & Yeti. Organized by the Nepal Insurance Association in collaboration with the Munich Re Foundation, Nepal Insurance Authority, Nepal Jeevan Beema Sagh, and the Micro Insurance Network, the historic event will be participated more than 500 representatives from 40 countries, along with over 225 participants from the host nation. This marks a significant milestone in Nepal’s history as it welcomes such a prestigious gathering of global insurance professionals

With the aim of fostering in-depth discussions and generating actionable insights on Inclusive Insurance, the conference has already seen the arrival of 269 international delegates by yesterday evening, with the remaining guests expected to arrive today. Chunky Chhetri, President of the Nepal Insurance Association, announced that all preparations for the conference have been completed and expressed enthusiasm for the discussions planned around the theme of Inclusive Insurance.

Approximately 225 delegates from Nepal are expected to participate, with each participating company contributing five representatives. Additionally, the conference will see involvement from key regulatory bodies, including the Nepal Insurance Authority and other relevant agencies, highlighting the government’s commitment to advancing the insurance sector.

The decision to host this year’s International Inclusive Insurance Conference in Nepal was made during last year’s ICII 2023 Ghana, further underscoring the event’s global importance. Next year’s upcoming ICII 2025 will believe to be announced at this conference.
